chevron parquet
The French Chevron parquet is a type of herringbone parquet that has both right and left-hand boards. The French Chevron boards are cut at a 45-degree angle at the narrower end. In addition to French Chevron parquet, there is also Hungarian Chevron parquet, which has ends cut at a 60-degree angle. French Chevron parquet is a very beautiful and elegant solution, and this pattern was used in castles and manor houses as early as the end of the 16th century. French Chevron is available in three different types of construction - solid precious wood, 2-layer on moisture-resistant birch plywood, and 3-layer on softwood base. Chevron parquet is predominantly produced from oak or smoked oak wood, but on special order, we can supply Chevron parquets made from other types of wood. Several different grading qualities are available, ranging from knot-free Premium grading to the more robust Country grading. Chevron parquet is available either unfinished or with a lacquer, oil / oil-wax finished surface in various shades. French herringbone is available either with 4-side beveling or without bevels. In addition, the parquet surface can be brushed or aged. As a novel solution, it is also possible to order Chevron parquet from France made from old recycled beams.
